Step-by-step whitening procedure

    One of our orthodontists will identify your initial tooth shade and strategically place a lip and cheek retractor to ensure your tongue and lips are kept clear from the whitening gel. Then, we will apply a protective barrier around your gumline to shield it from potential irritation caused by the gel.

  • Step 2

    Once your gums, lips, and tongue are protected, we will use a gentle, brushed tip to apply the whitening gel to your teeth carefully. The gel will then be left on your teeth for 20 minutes before being suctioned off.

  • Step 3

    After removing the gel, we will assess the shade change of your teeth will be conducted to determine if you need another application. Within a single treatment session, we can apply the Opalescence gel up to three times.

  • Step 4
